“Gender Inequality” Presented by group 1

The topic of gender Inequality was presented by group1. They did a great job with their presentation. I love the way group 1 always set up their slides with pictures, colors, etc. What caught my attention was when Angela was presenting, her part of the presentation when she talks, about how abortion should be pro-choice, that a group of men should not be allowed to decide what a female should do with their body. Gender inequality is the social phenomenon in which men and women are not treated equally. The treatment may arise from distinctions regarding biology, psychology, or cultural norms prevalent in society. The Topic of gender inequality stems from many subtopics. which include history, Finance, social treatment, and government. Gender inequality plays a huge role in the daily lives of millions of people around the world. In group 1 presentation, we see how Gender inequality can affect us personally. Group1 starts their presentations by talking about gender inequality in the 1900s. The presenter Antanisha speak about the women's suffrage movement in the 1800s-19900s. The National Woman Suffrage Association Formed by Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady. The purpose of it was for the 14th amendment to include voting right for women especially, African Americans. Fighting for voting rights was not the only goal they had. They also fought for broad- base economic and political equality for social reforms. In this part of the presentation, I learn so much information about gender inequality in the 1900s. And many facts about the suffrage movement that I did not know of, for example, Susan B. Anthony (and 15 other women) voted illegally in the presidential election.

Both European and American women in the 1900s lived in age was characterized by gender inequality. Women in the 1900s were not allowed to vote. They could not be sued or be sued, could not testify in court, did not have control of their property after marriage. They were barred from any institution of education, rarely had custody of their children. Another thing group 1 talk, about was sexual harassment Sexisms sexual harassment included unwanted sexual advances, demand for sexual favors, and other forms. Sexual harassment does not always have to include sexual actions or be direct. Sexual harassment rates are influenced heavily by gender. A statistic shows that 9 out of every 10 victims of rape are female. The main place sexual harassment occurs in someone's workplace. The video of Gretchen Carlson a woman who was sexually harassed at work and through her lifetime her story was touching and that it takes a strong person to make a change that can change many women lives. I feel like her story will inspire other women to stand up for themselves and accept that it is not their fault. In conclusion group, 1 did a great job.

"Climate change" presented by group 2

The topic of climate change was presented by group 2. Each member did a fantastic job with their part of the presentation. Group 2 starts its presentations by defining climate change. Climate change is an alarming phenomenon with endless factors contributing to worsening the state of the planet. the foreboding causes are drought, continuous warning of the earth, rising sea levels, and Coral bleaching. The causes have damaged our planet and pose endless threats to all kinds of life on earth. The coral response is caused by stressors which include changes in temperature, light, or nutrients. Sea life because of climate change due to the changing temperature species are changing their geography toward the poles. Allergens increase rising temperatures due to climate change, prolonged allergy seasons, and deteriorating air quality. Group1 explains why seasonal allergies increase. A growing body of research shows that warmer temperatures and higher atmospheric carbon dioxide levels are caused by climate change. What does air pollution do to us? Air pollution can cause lung cancer, heart disease, long term health effect from air pollution. Air pollution can damage crops and trees in many ways in the environment. Lastly, list ways we how can we stop global warnings. We can stop global warnings by reducing water waste by taking shorter showers and turning off the tap while brushing our teeth. We can use energy-efficient instead of using plastic and polluting our earth with standard ones. Overall, group 2 did a great job with their presentations. And I learn a lot from their presentations.

"Infrastructure" presented by group 3

Infrastructure presented by group 3, each group member did a great job and work well together to get the job done what I like about working with group 3 is the way we break down the subtopics and make sure everyone had a part. Infrastructure includes multiple systems belonging to a business, region, or nation. The different branches of infrastructure include Technological, environmental, construction, Developmental, Financial, etc. Group 3 defines technology infrastructure as the fundamental technology upon which the capabilities of nation and cities. Energy such as solar panels batteries is the type of technology infrastructure. The first nuclear power plant in the world opened in 1954, nine years after the advent of nuclear weapons. Networking infrastructure is an important component of community organization networking helps those working for social change to share resource information and devise agendas. The subtopic construction infrastructure group 3 compares the different countries' infrastructure. The first countries we compare are America Vs Europe. In America, homes can last about 100 years, with proper maintains. European houses are robust and built to last 400 years without having to make substantial repairs. 43% of American public roadways are in poor or mediocre condition. European roads are smooth and far studier than U.S roads. The second country we compare is America Vs Japan. America ranks 13th out of all other countries in term of infrastructure. Japan ranks 2nd out of all other countries. One Future expectations plan for construction is that many jobs that formerly need multiple men will be performed by construction workers using machines and computers. Many countries need infrastructure development. Roughly 663 million people lack access to clean water.
